Hi, I'm Cami Flake!

I started photographing children when my son started school 10 years ago! It began with helping out on the playground and in the classroom, capturing moments that parents rarely get to see. These were some of my favorite days!

There's nothing like the joy of early childhood!

I approach these sessions the same way I approach my family portrait sessions. While my time with each student is shorter, the portraits I create receive the same love and attention.

What are boutique school portraits?

In a nutshell, they’re professional portraits taken by a trained photographer. Images your families will be excited to hang on their walls and gift to family and friends. Instead of a big box company or corporation sending different people every year to take photos of your students, I only work with small schools so I’m the one showing up. While I am efficient, I bring my warmth and all my years in film and photography, understanding light and what makes a beautiful portrait, to your school. And my hope is I’ll get the opportunity year after year to watch your students grow and change. It’s truly magical to witness.

How does it work?

First we schedule a planning day:

• We go over your needs, schedule, location, volunteers… all the nuts and bolts of the day(s).

• I offer clear communication to your students’ families so they feel informed and ready.

• After the photos are taken, the families will receive online galleries to view and purchase their images and prints.
